Help with replacing rear axle

Hey guys I gotta replace my left rear axle cause it has crapped itself and I've read on the net I can do it myself, has anyone replaced one them self on a vz commodore and if so do I need any grease or lube to do the job or is it like a straight swap over to the new one, any help would be appreciated cause I would like to keep my cost down

Take the old one out, put the new one in. 7 or 8mm allen key bolts, and dont let the new axle hang off any end while you're installing it.
