should be some + screws holding it on the front bar, then it should slide out of place
Life starts at 200km/h
2 screws and pull thats it
Wher they located f... if i could see them
did that had 3 screws undid them but that leads to take the whole bumper off not just the grill well it does on my calais
i wonder if its different on other models in the vz range
I don't think the Calais grille is any different in its method of retention to the other variants. It should be held in by three screws along the top and three lugs on the bottom which are a firm fit into slots in the bumper. It definitely isn't part of the whole bumper assembly as I'm sure I've seen it listed as a separate part.
If I'm right, you undo the screws then pull the grille up firmly. Those tabs can sometimes be a very firm fit.
just had a look...its actually 1 screw heres a pic buddy... and thers 3 tabs on the bottom

Gees, one bloody screw. It was three on the VY's. I wonder how much they saved per car with that change?
Anyway, to the OP, dijm8's post should answer all your questions. One screw and yank it.
Well we all got it right and got it wrong what a S.O.B of a job have attached photos basically you have to remove all 3 screws lift bonnet located just in front of radiator There are 2 lugs holding grill in place left and right attached to bumper at top and same at the bottom hopefully pics help you locate The 2 lugs at bottom are a b...h to get at and have to be depressed in a forward motion to get them unclipped.
But thanks to all without your help would never have gotten this crapy bit of plastic out
Cheers guys
That's surprising about the lower tabs. I could see that the grille had two upper locating points as well as the screw from the photo in post #9, but I'm surprised that you had to actually get in behind the lower tabs and push them forward to release them. Other models just pull out, though they are sometimes a bit stiff.
you shouldnt of have to remove all 3 screws just the 1...maybe it was the first time being removed hence being tuff to remove....they usually just pop straight out no force at all
The clips definatley had clips on the upper and lower lugs holding them in place
What did you replace it with? Please don't say a Chev grill... (although, I think the Chev grills to suit the Calais are actually pretty hard to get hold of)
