Hey everyone,
looking at getting my VZ exec with stock springs lowered but not sure what springs to get and how much i should get it lowered. I have tried to look for some info on VZ springs i am situated in south australia so i want springs that are low and look good but legal aswell, as i have heard KING SPRINGS SL's are illegal.
Thanks.
i also have twin subs in my boot aswell which the back of the car still sits 180mmfrom the ground
What wheels and tyres do you have on?
Check out the FAQ's section. Under 'lowering'.
i currently have a set of 18's not sure what width size etc, but wanting to get 19" VE SSV rims.
hope that helps, thanks.
I have Kings lows with 18's on mine. I am loath to fit anything lower (although it would look better) because I still manage to wack the front bar way too often. $$$$$.
Still looking at fitting SL's for the rear only. Too much rake for my liking.
I had a 05 Exec. With King springs, SSL on the rear, with SL on the front with CV8 Monaro mags 18" I found that a really good height, Cops didn't look twice, didn't hit anything and still had a good look to it.

Did you ever get done Dop3y? ive been looking at getting king spring SL's but pretty expensive and also been looking at pedders sports ryder suspension too, but im thinkin drop my stock 30mm at the front and about 35-40mm at the back i reckon.
As stated in a previous post. Save your bikkies and get all the suspension done properly and together. Springs, shocks, bars, bushes etc.
Only ever had one sticker, and that was for bald tires xP Those springs surpassed the pits here, And for a while the cops were harrassing me, Either cause it was legal, or because its a smallish country town where i live. But then again, did a few trips to perth and no hassle,
And i forgot to say that getting new rear shocks is the way to go, And its not that much more expencive.
I was worries about the fuzz when I lower my vz it has SSSL in the back SSL in the front the tyre is tucked in the guard I have been pulled over a couple of times no mention about the height of the car
holy shit SICKTG i bet that would be low as hell aha, yeeah im in need of new bushes soon i reckon, but i just wanna get me car lowered to a nice height maybe just above the SL'height really, but my shock are great atm only stock but work well.
Maybe try some fe2 springs champ?
Go with the SL's you'll be right its around the 30-35mm mark
yeeah ive heard fe2 aint that low and arent stock sv6 come out with fe2? cause i ve seen some photos and they arent that much lowered than stock, and Munz the SL drops the car about 50mm
Hey sicktg would you have any close up pics of how low and how much the guards are tucking cause I'm thinking of lowering mine with sssl in the back and ssl in front but can't find any good pics and would you have the part numbers aswell, thanks
Yeah I do mate I'll upload them very soon for u along with part numbers

Cheers guys, how would 245's or 235's go at the back would there be much scrubbing and that, are the springs for another model of commodore? Any ideas on what set of shocks and struts to go with them?
235's will be sweet camber kit is a must unless u wanna buy tyres every couple of months and shocks this link is all sorts of win

Just had a read up of them shocks and struts think they will be the go now to start saving I think, just won't be telling the missus about it lol
Haha sweet goodluck with it mate
I have fitted Kings superlows with my standard shocks, had no issues.
i have exactly what hsv453 has. 20" pentagons, 225/35/20 tyres, ultras rear, ssl front. all four guards are rolled and there is no scrubbing at all.
