Hi,
This is my first post. I decieded to tap into a wealth of knowledge here to assist my next purchase.
I'm after a VZ wagon on gas.
The question I have is that there are several different engine numbers and types.
The following are regularly available at the auctions.
LW2070950055
LE0070520220
10HNEH063450115
The first I think is a factory fitted duel fuel engine.
The second is a factory fitted petrol engine only.
But the last is the one I don't know about. Any comments or help appreciated.
Also I've been to the VZ Commodore VIN calculator and the letter that corresponds to the engine in the VIN number was N with the first and last engine numbers listed above came up on the VIN calculator as unknown. But the VIN matching the second engine number displayed a B in the VIN to identify the engine and came as a Alloytech 175 V6.
Thanks.

I'm guessing here that the 10HNEH063450115 is 06 = 2006 345 is dulian date I think and the 0115 motor built that shift. I'll have to dig a little...

Thanks 88greenvn,
The reason I'm keen to know is that a holden tech told me to make sure I get one thats designed for gas as opposed to a petrol one that has just had gas put on it. He said there are 'differences' in the actual build of the motor. Does that sound right?
Here is 1 bit of the puzzle

Hi Guys,
Just spent some time on the phone with a mate who has access to the Holden data base, and after much searching we found out that the engine number starting with 10HNEH was the older version of the LW2, which are both dual fuel engines factory fitted. We still don't know what the differences inside the engine, if any are??
Can anyone fill me in???
Probably harder valves or something to deal with the drier fuel?
