Hey guys, I have a VZ berlina, about a 2 weeks ago the temp gague went to H while in traffic prob done it twice in the space of a week. I check coolant levels and quality as it was due for a change, I planned to do a coolant change the following weekend during that week the temp gauge went up at times but not the the H mark and not enough for the warning sign to come up on dash like it did previously. Change coolant today had it in diagnostic mode while warming car up, one fan kicked in at 108'c before the fan kicked In the coolant had boiled and has spitting out of radiator cap (as it was off to warm depressirised). Should both of the fans kicked in? I have notice steam from the exhaust and not just in the morning but after reasonable drive ie 30-60min drive. I thought it was my thermostat getting stuck but while the fan came on at 108 degree it means thermostat opened. How can I test my head gasket as I'm worried that's the problem. Oil cap looks clean and not a strange color.
