Default Headlights/fogs are turning on when they shouldent

Just purchased a Sv6 ute and it does the following:

    *parkers turn on no problem
*low beam(driving lights) also turn on no problem

BUT! when the driving lights are on and you turn on the HIGH beams...the left driving light dropps out and the right driving light/high beam AND right fog light turn on.

also when the driving lights are on and you turn on the fogs, the left driving light also turns off and tleft fog is really dim but right driving light and fog light work.

    any ideas? cheers

If you are going to disconnect the earths. Make sure the battery is first disconnected. Else you may get error messages etc.

There is a ground just below the ABS module. There is also one just behind the battery and bolted to the inner guard, this one is a white connecter plug with multilpe wires attached. You will need to move the battery to access. Press tang to disconnect.

Also check relays. Removing and or replacing (swapping with like ones) these may help you to isolate the problem.

You could also check the wiring connector which plugs directly into the back of headlights.

And cover your ears in preparation for the alarm to sound (have your keys handy).
