Vz v6 otr

Hi,
What is the best brand for a VZ V6 OTR?
I saw a picture of one a while ago and it looked dodgy as, can't remember a brand name but yeah.
Does anyone have one on their V6?

Mate don't even bother unless you're doing this for visual purposes, gains are minimal, if your after performance your better of spending your dosh on a better dif ratio.

But the man at the shop tolded me the otr would make it go like an 8. Do you think he was lying?

They didn't have any stock of that colour. And it was xtra.......i'm gunna take it bak and get a smaller pulley....then to the drags.

haha yeah minimal gains with the otr on a 6 mate. unless your going full xorst and intake the tune? bit of a waste of cash imo.

I have been looking around for a couple of weeks now for a MAF Vz OTR but had no luck.

Iv got a full zorst system on my caprice n mace insulators, hopefully getting a pulley kit then once I find the rite CAI, I'll get a tune. ( won't be getting a performance one thou cause $900+ isn't worth it for the results. Just to adjust the mixtures and things to suit the lil mods for better fuel economy etc.

So if anyone knows of a VZ V6 OTR MAF that exists please let us know.

There is no decent ones for the alloytec, just like its lacking a lot of decent things, the tuning is the problem, mafless would be nice on an alloytec.. This is a debate that has been running for years now.. ive been waiting for a short shift kit for the 6 speed since i got my car..

There is also the MAF OTR made by orssom performance in Sydney for the VZ but they don't fabricate them anymore cause they are too busy doing the ones for the VE

dont worry about 2 hole mod last weekend i fitted mcai cost 35 bucks from holden a couple of hours to fit properly. has improved fuel economy and increased power, induction sounds great when you plant the foot,best move ever.

have a look 2 threads down wadevzss done a fantastic job with pics and explanations i just followed these instructions and took my time and all worked out well look under 2 hole mod you will find it and make sure you buy all 3 parts which are listed.

That may be an option but its made for a VE might take some slight modification to fit,(not saying it will fit) but theirs and idea.

but your wasting your time and money IMO if its for performance, looks the goods but ha

the radiator covers wont fit.

Wish it Would fit on the Vz.
The same seller has one for the Vz like the one I put a pic of up the top but its crapy it's not really an OTR wen u see it's connection path.

I'll give them a call tmrw and ask if the ve can be modified.

Even if there is no performance gain I need a cai as my fuel economy is pretty high atm. 16.9L/100km @ average 29km/h.

No the VE Otr cant be modified to fit in the Vz.

I guess us Vz v6 owners can't have an Otr.

Yea, cause the VE radiator is positioned at a different angle to the Vz. Bugger. Lol
