Question Can you tune a duel fuel car?

    Hi All,

I have a question about tuning my duel fuel VZ sedan 2006 (175kw).
I've got on order a cold air intake and mace manifold insulators...

Soon will be exhaust and extractors (maybe extractors) and that's it really.

Most people I've spoken to are unsure on how it works when it comes to duel fuel and avoid my question haha...

    1. Is it possible to tune a duel fuel car? (If so, can you explain what you know about it and how it works)
    2. What kind of tune?
    3. What costs am I looking at?
    4. What will be the pros\cons from this tune?

    Thanks!

    Aaron

    Hi Aaron,

Given your proposed mods I would be leaning more towards only a cat back myself

    1. Is it possible to tune a duel fuel car? (If so, can you explain what you know about it and how it works)

I’m probably way off, however it is possible to tune a dual fuel car, as often the LPG computer piggy backs onto the factory item.

They may be reluctant to tweak the piggy back computer, with an aftermarket petrol tune as it mean more work for them.

    2. What kind of tune?
VCM supports tuning of these cars

    3. What costs am I looking at?
Custom tune around the $800-$900 mark

    4. What will be the pros\cons from this tune?
Pros: drive better, go harder and save fuel Cons: tuning price, may be limited to run on only 98 depending on what fuel you get it tuned with.

If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask.

    Cheers,
    Steve
