Hi,
The past few weeks I've noticed an odd noise in the front of the car. The sound speeds up as the car speeds up. It's first noticable at about 15km/h. I don't have to be accelerating for this to happen. It had it's 90k service a couple of weeks ago but I forgot to tell the mechanic about it since I dropped the car off before he opened. He did a full safety check with the service and told me there was nothing to worry about.
Yesterday a mate and I checked the steering arm and both front wheels to see if anything was lose but all appears ok.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this noise?
Thanks,
Zac
loose even :P
what type of noise? like a metal rubbing noise? whoosh whoosh noises or ticking noises?
Try rotating your tyres front to back and see if you still hear the noise
Richard, it's not ticking closer to whooshing. Hard to describe. Not very helpful unfortunately.
And Rhino, I'll rotate the tyres on my next day off. Hopefully that'll sort it

dunno if it helps, but i rebalanced my wheels at work because i was getting a funny noise, i think it ended up being a loose wheel weight. when ur car is jacked up, try spining the wheels while holding onto the spring, if the spring vibrates or feels rough, u may need to replace a wheel bearing. if its all good, you will feel nothing through the spring. i know wheel bearings make a crazy noise, similar to a plane takeoff lol, but obviously not as bad or loud, i guess like a humming noise
