    Default VZ Ute lowering advice

    Hi,

I've just put a set of VY S2 Clubsport wheels on my VZ Ute and I'm quite pleased with the result.

I've been contemplating lowering it for ages as it's sitting pretty high at the rear and it kind of looks like a 4wd!

If you guys could give me a bit of advice I'd really appreciate it, I have about 10cm from top of the tyre to the bottom of the wheel arch at the rear and about 5cm at the front. I have a pretty steep driveway so the max I could lower the front is 1 or 2 cm, is it worth lowering the front?

I was thinking of making it a bit more even and letting it sit level, any pros or cons of doing that? Is it a matter of lowering the rear 5cm and then it'll balance out?

I did a quick photoshop before and after of what I'm hoping to achieve, nothing drastic just a bit more sleek...opinions here would be good too.

    Cheers

i've got a VZ ute that's been lowered with king spring SL's front and rear, not too much trouble with scraping now but used to have a fair bit with ultra lows on the back.... sits pretty nice and even now though about 310mm from the top of the hub cap to the guard. lowering the rear's a cheap job, with only springs needed, some have a camber kit but mine's alright without it. lowering the front's an expensive job though - if you don't want the ride to become too crashy need struts as well as springs... but if you're not lowering it too far maybe you don't? im not sure...

Cheers for the replies guys. I emailed King Springs and they recommend KHRL-127SL on the rear to make it sit level, however they suggest changing shocks too? You don't reckon that's needed Zund1?

Street1 I'm thinking SSL is probably a bit too low - did you change the fronts too? Same shocks or new ones?

They didn't tell me I needed new shocks and it seems alright still

Ssl all around but I think they are from a sedan. Rides fine, a lot softer than the pedders ones I had. Dident replace the shoks but I should and supposed to get a camber kit if you want to do it "properly"
