Hi all,
I recently bought a 2005 Holden Berlina and like the title says, it rolls back when in drive when the car is on an incline. Was wondering if this is normal for these cars or should i call the dealership as I got a 3 month warranty.
Cheers
My VZ Calais rolls back slowly when on a steep incline. But it would usually hold on not-so-steep inclines.
My VZ Equipe does the same.
depends, D wont keep you in a stationary position if your pointing up a hill and gravity wants to do its job.
Yeah on slight inclines it holds alright, even nudges forward a bit, but on a steeper inclines it starts to edge backwards. I don't really mind, used to drive a manual so i'm used to it, as long as its not a sign of a problem with the car, and judging from replies seems like it isn't. Thanks guys!![]()
Its just the torque converter doing its job. It allows the engine to spin while the transmission isn't.
