What does the Kid icon with the circle around it do? I thought it may be child lock or something?

Yep as above, stops the rear power windows from being operated by the switch on the doors.

I have to use this also when driving drunk friends home, always inclined to pop their heads out and yell crap from my car.

Then they would have the same as if they smoked or left rubbish in the car, they'ed be walking from their current destination whether it being raining or not.

I've also occassionally left the child locks on the rear doors by accident and then my drunk friends get driven and the door opened for them lol.

Never noticed that, though to be honest, i've never sat in the back of my own car yet, except for when cleaning it.
