    Smile vz seatback removal

    Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if the seatback on the driver and front passenger seats can be removed. I intend on installing a pair of headrest dvd players in my VZ Adventra to keep the tin lids amused on long trips. I need to remove them to allow for cabling to pass down to near the floor.

Yes the back can be removed you just get your fingers behind the panel a pull but unfortunately for you (good for Holden sales) the clips are once only use and removing the back breaks them and you need new ones.
There is no way around this you will break them probably why Holden always have them on the shelf.
You can try and remove the panels first and see what happens or go to Holden and have them show you a exploded pic of the seat back.
I did mine for the opposite reason to you, mine had 1 dud screen and as my kids have their own cars these days I had no use for rear DVD player so refitted the original headrest back in.

Certainly can, but as per other posts, the plastic retaining clips are destroyed upon removal of the seat back - no way around that. Needed to do this when I installed headrest DVD players in my VZ.

The following attachments give you all the info you need to remove and refit the seat backs.
