Has any of you commodore owners had the following problem occur to you vz 2005 series 2 with 105k on clock.
My car was sitting for a few months not used. Recently had a friend go to start it take for a run. Car did not start not turning over nothing! Checked battery all good.
Had mobile mechanic check advised me could be key reader or computer.
Advised that the computer was not recognizing the key . Tried all spare keys still same problem.
Any one out there had this occur with there vz and was the cause as above or diifferent.
Could be your auto trans switch try it in Park & Neutral. Do you get the "OK" in the instrument cluster self test window when you turn ign on?? You may need to get a Tech 2 to re program your keys to the BCM.
Engine should still crank with a dodgy key, but not start.
Check fuses, relays etc.
