    Default slipping clutch

Hi all. I have an 06 SS, 6sp and my clutch has started slipping in 5th and 6th on the highway when I try to accelerate. I have been hard on it so I was expecting it to happen sooner or later. I'm assuming the pressure plate springs have lost their tension from abuse. What I want to know is what everyone has been using as a replacement and approximate costs. Also is it reasonably easy to do yourself.(I have replaced clytches in FWD cars before so I have an idea of what needs to be done) I have searched but I didn't find anything that was definitly for the 6lt motor. I did look at the extreme clutch website last night but was hoping to get a bit of guidance from those that have already been there and done it before.

If you are going a new clutch here is my advice.
Got a single mass (single plate) clutch. The dual mass clutches wear out way too fast. Its just one of those things, the more parts, the more can go wrong.

Thanks. I had a quick look around and waiting for a couple quotes through mates but I found I can get an Extreme clutch kit with slave for $1200. And can get it fitted for $350. I'll be trying for a couple more prices tomorrow
