Hey guys, Can someone please please, put photos up and explain how to rig up a NON-vented (sealed) oil catch can?!
Is it as simple as putting the left rocker cover breather that goes to the air intake pipe into the catch can and back out to the intake tube again?? or what goes in the catch can?
VZ model 5.7 engine...!!

pretty much, just plumb the breather hose(the one that goes to the intake pipe) into a catch can and then back into the intake pipe. purpose of the catchcan is to trap the oil before it gets into the intake again. inside the catch can should be baffles of some sort, like steel wool that traps the oil from just blowing from the inlet to the outlet nozles on the catch can
Elite FTW have one fitted to my LS2 has kept the manifold clear of oil since fitting.
Catches about 10-20mm of oil (depending on style of driving) in the reservoir between my 5000klm oil changes.

would a catch can on a v6 alloytech be worth it or are they more for people who upgrade there engine? in that case i wont worry about it cos i dont plan on doing anything to my engine its just a v6, ill wait till im off my P's to get a V8 haha thanks
I got a catch can on my 6..... i made some adjustments to my gearbox...... so i can jump upto 6000rpm on the appropriate gear at will...... (stop turbo's getting the jump on me) ....... it caused oil to spew into my intake leading to carbon build up causing knock = less power.
So i put the catch can in to prevent the oil going to the intake, peice of cake to install really.
