Hey guys just picked up a pioneer single din hu and the single din fascia kit for the vz. Headunit doesnt seem to fit in the fascia seems to be about 5mm to wide for the gap any one else have this problem. Am i missing something really simple? Cheers guys
Have you taken the metal casing off with the stock headunit. It has a big screw at the back of it. Chances are thatll fix your problem.
If you need me to I can see if I have mine laying around in the shed.
Soz i mean like the new hu into the plastic fascia
Ah right, try load it in from the front then, I am assuming its the face area of the head unit that is being a pain (mine did the same I just mounted it forward more and never had a problem still looks clean).
Cheers mate il keep trying
This is what it looks like not even close to going in any ideas
wow ok maybe take the face off the headunit, push it in from the back (to avoid the width) and put the face back on, failing that perhaps file down one side of it and just screw it off on one side (also what I had to do with mine).
Pretty sure the deck goes in from behind and screws in on the sides

Just managed to get it in very very tight fit. Cheers for help. In the end it did go in from the back.
Hi Matt,
I have the 7250sd deck and the same looking facia, my metal cradle that came with the deck slid straight in form the front and the deck inside that, It looks like there may be prob with the black plastic bit you baught. If you are not happy with the looks i would suggest taking it back.
Yeah cheers mate i got the hu in but cant get the hu frame/trim piece that goes around it on might have to see if there are other opotions
facia trim clips onto the metal cage that goes around the radio, mine was tight to get the cage in, slightly bent when installed, then squeezed the deck into the cage.
Ah il have a shot at it again might not have the cage pushed in far enough. Cheers
