VZ s ute exhaust note

Got a duel 2.5 inch redback system put on my car about 4-6 weeks ago now, not 100 % happy with the sound not very loud, a mate had a single 2.5 inch and sounded heaps better to me, should i wait a little longer for it to wear in or will getting the rear muffler removed make it louder?? will i lose any power or anything?

2.5" is too big, get 2.25"

Yeah drop it down to 2.25" My original setup was a 2.5" into single 3" and it sounded horrible. I dropped it down to 2.25" and took out the rear silencers and it sounds alot better. Extractors don't necessarily make it louder but it will change the tone of your exhaust note. Also high flow metal cats is probably a good idea as well but the can tend to hurt the wallet a bit. Have a read through the thread exhaust have been covered heaps of times
