Default How to access Calais foglights?

    Hey guys,

As title says trying to work out how to get the foglights in my Calais to change over the bulbs? Hoping it's not a front bar off job, can anyone confirm this? Appreciate any tips

Just unplug the wires and unscrew the 3 bolts from behind the bumper. Too easy.

The surround of the fog lights comes off. Just need to look behind bumper and push the 3 or 4 tabs that hold the surround into the bumper.

Once the surround is off, look behind fog light and unplug the large plug. Then you just unscrew the 3 screws that hold fog light in.

If you jack the front of car in the air, it makes it very easy. Each side should take 5 mins max.

Im not at home or near my car, but from memory you may not even need to remove whole fog light to get to globe, but its very easy to remove anyway.

    Goodluck.

If any issues, then post up as I have pics of when I had mine off.

The fog lights will most likely be the exact same as mine, there will be 2 nuts 1 bolt. Think they were 10 or 12mm.

You can get them from underneath if you are willing to get on your back. Otherwise the bumper bar comes off really easy, total of 7 screws and some clips that are real easy (just pull out near the wheels and it comes off, goes back on the same way). The plug is normally clipped onto something.

Once you have the fog light out you can take out the small screw at the front, this will remove the metal surround that holds it in place. After that it is all pretty straight forward. To put it back together just push the internal wires into the deepest part (makes sure it doesnt get pinched), push the lens into the backing, put the metal surround over the lens.
Make sure the bottom of it goes on first so it grabs on when you screw it on. If you are worried you can put a bead of silicon on between the lense and backing but unless you do river crossings (I would hope not with a Calais lol) you dont really need to worry.

As above, if you can get the plastic trim/surround off there should be a tiny Philips screw holding on a metal ring. remove that and the glass section of the fog light comes out giving you access to the bulb.

In my VY the plastic trim/surround didn't want to come off easily because of excessive molding flash, so i just took the whole front bumper off instead of forcing and possibly breaking stuff..
