hi guys , ive just brought a vz wagon alloytec, still got the vx v6, it runs the 2.25 sports system which gives it a lovelly note,,,
I did DO A search on the vz exhaust and thru the sound clips,,, but honestly they sound like crap burberling on de accelarating,, is this due too the alloytec motor,, i also have a pajero with a 2.25 single and it sounds the same crakling/burberling onn/ off throotle.... i just want a nice note no dronening, not chasing power.... just a nice note thanks guys
if you have done a search, you would have seen multiple times not an abba fan say "i sell the manta twin 2.25 to single 3 inch, max power, no drone, and not overly loud". i suggest you search a bit better.

yes he has a few people on the forum that i beleive have purchased the system off him and they seem happy. he quoted me $495 shipped to my door (but i am in vic) might be different for you.
Unfortunately the system I do won't fit the wagon without modification, it needs to be lengthened in front of the mufflers by about 120mm.

Lengthening the exhaust is pretty simple, I have a Crewman, and I have only ever found one exhaust that is mass produced to fit it, even then I think they are more likely to make it to order.
If you good with a MIG welder and stop by an exhaust shop, buy some stainless steel pipe you could do it yourself in about 30mins.
EDIT:
You also have to remember that the Alloytec will have a slight drone to it. Mine had one until I blew my cats out the back, now I cant hear the drone, sounds good but unless you live in Darwin I advice against it, because up here we dont have any emissions testing equipment lol.

i know there is like 1,000,000 threads about exhausts, but cause i own a ute i wouldnt be hearing the drone like you would in a sedan, so what would be better for sound an performance a single 2.5 or twin 2.5?? sorry about hijack
as for a ute, best system i have heard is a twin 2.25 going into one muffler, so 2 pipes into one muffler much like the xforce systems for the ve v8's, then out to twin hotdogs at the rear
you guys are forum warriors.. the guy just wants some advice on an exhaust..
If you want a loud exhaust something 2.5" twin or single. After a few years with a noisy exhaust bolted on i went back to standard exhaust with pacemaker extractors and 2.5 cat pipes.. best thing i ever did, vote one for this combo.
