Has any1 changed there interior light the 1 near the sunglass holder to a white led I tried but the lights never lit up
Have you tried it the other way around. Under the dash should be an interior light fuse from memory?
I had one in a VZ a while ago and it was too damn bright
i changed mine
had to cut the wires and change them over but worked in the end
Ive heard that the LED bulbs are reversed. So if you tried switching the wires around itd work.
Dont know how true that is, and I intend to try soon but thats what I heard.

Did u unscrew the fitting rom the roof to switch the wires around thx for quick response and I tried turning the glob but no luck dose any 1 no if it has to be a cretin globe or along as it is 12 v
Yeah, theres 2 screws holding it up, undo them, unplug the plug. Then you can see 2 wires, each going to a metal plate.

Mine are LEDs. You need to swap the wires around for the lights for it to work. Simply turning the globe the other way doesn't work.
You may also need to extend the green wires as I did, as there is not a great amount of slack if you just swap them over. I can post up pics of mine if you want?
Done mine to with HP led's and they are super bright, almost to much but i have dark tint so i dont care, i can see.
Yep you need to swap around the wires easy job as mentioned.
Don't get the ebay ones, they are not any brighter than orig
To Remove: Open sunglass holder and you will see 2 phillips head screws. Undo these. Then pull the front edge (closest to windscreen) out of roof to a 45 degree angle, then once out, you will have to slide whole unit towards windscreen to clear the tabs on other end. Then unclip the wiring plug and your done.
Pics below of the unit;
Now, you have to swap around the wiring on each globe. Working on one side, undo both little screws and simply swap the eyelets. Do this on each side.
So that means that the green eyelet/spade connectors will now be on the outer most screws, and the brown and tan eyelet spade connectors will be on the inner most screws.
The reason for the wiring mod is to extend the green wire(s) as they now may be too short as they have been moved to the outer screws.
I also extended the green wire going to the white connector as I didn't want it stretched either.

Yeh, like Matt said.
He is the one who helped me with mine. Thanks again Matt
Can anyone confirm the name/model of the lights that fit into the Sunglasses holder? I can't seem to get ones that actually fit correctly.
You need BA9S type globes. I got mine from Super Bright LEDs.com
BA9S LEDs
Hi all I went to auto bahn today and brought a led light it has 4 LEDs and ther on a square fitting and a wire runs out the back in the packet u have a few conectors to join to the wire it plugged straight in and are bright as
Any BA9s type bulb will fit fine. But not all LEDs are equal. I only use LEDs from LED Lights, Bulbs & Accessories - SUPER BRIGHT LEDS They are pricey, but the output and colour temperature is always the best.
Here is a link; BA9s Base Bulb with 9 High Power SMD LEDs Specifications
If you want to try cheaper to see if you happy, then go to ebay and type "BA9s smd led white 5050" and then buy one that has 9 LEDs total..... 8 around edges and 1 on top.

The following pics are an example of my interior......BE AWARE though that pics can be so deceiving......especially night shots and lighting/LEDs. The interior does not look quite this bright in real life...the camera shutter stayed open a little bit too long, but you can get an idea of how a white light looks really nice compared to yellow;

The foot wells look amazing mate did u do it ur self ??
Its easy if you already have footwell lighting as you just upgrade the T10 type bulb or swap to strip lighting like I have. I got mine from a member on here who goes by the username "Phreddy" (aka Greg who owns ASR Audio and Electronics)
