Default Engine swap or new car?

Hey all, ive been thinking about when i get off my p's (2 years away) if i should drop in a ls1 into my ute or just sell it an get something different, would it be cheaper to drop a ls1 with a turbo on it or better of buying a newer car? sorry about such a noobish question

Probably easier to buy a car with an LS1 already but one with a turbo is a big job..
If you still wonna drive the car, buy an LS1 and start building. Will make things a little easier.
