Default VZ Crewman rear end noise

Hope I'm posting this in the right section.

I recently bought a 2006 VZ Crewman S from a Holden Dealer. It has had a persistent thumping / rattle noise in the rear end of the car, that is only heard when driving over 60 Klms over uneven road, or the "cat's eyes" on the freeways. At 100Klms, it them becomes a "rattle" which his extremely annoying. It never happens when I drive over speed humps - only small bumps. Holden say it is "normal" and would not cover it under the 3 month used car warranty.

I can simulate the noise by hitting the rear tyres (on the tread) with a mallet. It has become SUPER annoying when I drive it and I want to take it to my local mechanic. But before I do, I was wondering if anyone has any advise on where to look for the source of the rattle ? Holden did change the "shakle bushes" BEFORE I bought the car.

I've checked the simple things like securing the spare tyre and checking the wheels are tightened.

Checked your shockies? There is only a certain amount of things that move in the suspension. Tick each one off.

I can tell you for certain that noise isnt normal at all. The most my Crewman does is an annoying squeak because I cooked another set of rotors lol (line lockers are bad never install them).

My car did make that noise when the rear diff was stuffed though had to replace the internals.

The problem was the nut at the top of one of the shockers was very loose. My mechanic replaced the bushings and tightened both shockers. Problem solved !

    Thanks for the advise.
