    Default VZ SV6 lowering

hey all, i need SUGGESTIONS!!...just got myself a black sv6, and thought of lowering it as i am over the height it sits at now..

its currently got fe2 suspension on 17' alloys which came stock with the car.

was just wondering what type of king springs id have to get to sit at the legal limit and be safe by about 20mm.

Superlows are perfect, low enough to look good and handle well, without being illegal. Ultralows are basically for show, they tuck wheel and don't have enough travel or are high enough to be legal. It would be good to get lowered shocks to match as the lowered springs have a different spring rate and will be too spongy on standard shocks.

And once you get it lowered your really gunna want to get 19"s. Looks great, and handles better.

You can only adjust the rear using the same spring no adjustments can be made to the front.
Pedders sell a 10mm or a 14mm spacer that u can add under the rear spring to raise it that little bit more.
U can only have that spacer in the rears and can only use one spacer per side.

I recommend superlows and nothing bigger than 19" wheels or I'll hate the ride comfort quality.

ssl are superlow, sssl are ultralow, im pretty sure. Ive got 20" with superlows and shocks, the ride isnt terrable, but it isnt comfortable. Ultralows would make it unbearable.

Thats a pretty good price for all round shocks and springs. And even comes with a spring compressor and a camber kit! They seem to have good feedback so Id be confident buying from that seller if it was me. Be sure to take before and after pictures and post them up!!

I have 20's on my VZ SV6 and its currently just the stock springs. I think it sits a bit high but Im worried about scrubbing with th guards and scraping underneath everywhere if I put superlows in. :S

My car is on SSL's in the front and SSSL's in the rear with Gt Monroe all round and the ride is definitely bearable. In saying that before I changed the shocks it was bumpy as fark!!

If you decide to go that low you will also have to get all guards rolled so it doesn't scrub Also if you go 20's make sure you get 245/30/20 profile tyres and preferably achillies as they have a really small sidewall and don't scrub at all.

Yea it's really expensive, not worth it unless you have bought it with the car cause u won't be able to get the price of the sunroof back if u sell it.

Lowering and rims first of course.

    Car looks neat man.
