    Default automatic converted to manual

Just wondering roughly what would the price be to change my gearbox in my vz my06 berlina from auto to manua. Is this possible clutch and all? and if so would it work like a proper manual or would all computer settings need to be reset

    Cheers

It would be much cheaper to just buy a manual. Unless you feel attached to your car, its a waste of money.

It gets pretty expensive, even if you do it yourself.. My mate did this to his vr Calais back in the day and the cheaper option was to actually buy VN V8 5 speed and swap the boxes around then sell the VN as an auto... Cost him 5k for the vn and 1k for the install by mates, he sold the vn for 4k, so a total cost of 2k to change gears :\

While you have the box split you might as well throw in a new clutch so there's another 600-700 bucks right there.. And its taken me many years to admit to the fact that an auto is better for pretty much everything these days
