Does anyone know for sure if the VZ one tonner Alloytec (05 model) has a different chip in the ECU, due to requirements for carrying heavy loads?
If so, would it be possible to change the chip to that of a sedan? Thanks.
'Ah well, I suppose it had to come to this.'
I doubt it would, at most the Ute and Sedan BCM may be different but thats about it.
Most of the difference is in the gearbox, diff and the actual tray.

The 1 tonner has a different torque curve, you get the full 320nm at 2400rpm instead of 2800rpm. Same power at the same revs but you get your torque in a more load friendly zone. I assume that would all be done by the chip, but your best option if you want the best of both would be to get a dyno tune. But otherwise I would rather low down torque than what the sedan has.Originally Posted by VYMAD:2029138

give everything a spray with wd40 wheels brakes that should fix the squeaks
