i have narrowed it the the rear wheels im almost sure its the back left. possibly the suspension. car makes a knocking sound on the flat road that increases with bumpy road. checked everything is tight and clean and cant find anything obviously wrong to my knowledge, but im no genius. the car did hop a gutter a few weeks ago but only bent the control arm, this has since been replaced.
any advice on what to check or what to look for would be great![]()
any advice would be great just want to get it sorted soon as i have a road trip planned and what to get it done before then
Checked your sway bar make sure it's mounted into the control arm had the same problem turns out mine, the bolts had fallen out of the brackets on top of the control arm and the sway bar was floating loose, check your suspension also.
Could also be your shockie mounts mate, another fella had the same sorta thing going on, the nut on top came loose. And on mine my exhaust bracket is setup in a way that the rubber want to pull the exhaust tip up, it ends up hitting the bumper when i go over bumps untill i push the rubbers back.

give everything a spray with wd40 wheels brakes that should fix the squeaks
Could be the shock absorber itself knocking..

if it is the shock itself how can I check? or Is it just a case of putting a new one in and seeing if it stops?
If you can tell what side it is, swap the shocks and see if the noise swaps sides.
