bang for buck, chuck a k&n panel filter in, will save you money every service... and that's also about it

If you have a 3" exhaust then you're probably gonna want a SuperCheap Auto pod filter. Don't enclose it and just let it hang there.

    /sarcasm.

But seriously, unless you have some special reason why you need a 3" exhaust maybe you should get a proper sized one, then a MACE cai.

Cold air intakes are only a supporting mod for other things, not much to gain there on its own

You would go faster by cleaning the brake dust off your rims than having a performance intake on a stock engine, I've heard of people getting a Growler and losing power. The only perceivable difference is intake noise, so if all I was modding doing is intake, I'd get the k&n panel and open the airbox. Also prevents issues with bends in the pipe near the maf sensor, giving a false reading, big issue with the mace cai.

I've got the mace setup, so I'm not biased.

I can honestly say my MACE CAI is very good. And not had a single problem with it. The pod filter doesnt even get wet, and considering it is the wet season up here that is an achievement.

I noticed a decent response putting it on, but I cannot say what benefits it will have on a stock system

If you're still fart arsing around with CIA's and catback systems I dont think you have that much fcuking power to lose lol.

But good choice with the hurricane system.

Mate, I have a VY Series 2 HSV airbox (the one with the big shute to the guard) available. I have also taken the cap off the front, so the VZ Snorkel can go in. Also included would be a Lukey High Flow washable filter (not oiled, just wash in water). I upgraded to what I thought would be a better intake, but didnt pick up any more power. So if you want it let me know.

PM sent. Includes the cap to plug the hole if you want, but extra air through the normal VZ snorkel can only be beneficial. Have to be better bang for buck than the other options you have.

No sorry, Stewlz jumped at the chance. I did see one on ebay the other week, so keep an eye out on there. Or join Australian LS1 and Holden Forums, and put a post that you are chasing one. Heaps of guys have upgraded to OTR's and have them sitting in the shed.
