Fuel door wont open?

Hey guys,
Had a quick search but couldn't find anything relevant..
Accidentally opened my fuel door and closed it normally about half an hour before I went to get fuel, got to the servo and my fuel door now wont open? I can hear the latch releasing at the actual door, but won't open... Tried wedging something in there then pulling it, still no deal..
Anyone had this happen/any common problems/solutions?
Cheers guys I'll work on it in the mean time.

Im sure theres a manual release cable hidden behind the boot lining near the flap, something might be mentioned in the car manual.
