Hi All
Im planning on getting 18" cv8/ssz rims on my Calais I was going to get them coated either matt black or satin black. the Calais is silver.
Also I will get the car lowered and dont want it to scrape or hammer my tyers or exhaust everytime I take it for a drive. Whats the best set up I should go for?
I got one quote it was $1,764.00 thats for everything but not including a camber kit prob a bit much?
Seen as though im only putting 18's on the car would there be much to worry about when lowering it??
Any info let me know.
cheers

Yeah sounds a bit pricey. Mate I lowered mine myself and have a MY06 SS so have the wheels you are talking about - check out my pix here: Erik's 6L VZ SS
If you have any qstns just ask!
shouldn't have too many problems on the 18s unless you go ridiculously low, but since they are a stock holden wheel, i dont think you will have any scrubbing on the tyres or whatever happening
only if you go too low, it will scrap on speedbumps and all that
as for the price, seems a bit steep, as them the price of the wheels seperate, the painting of the wheels, and lowering, and what springs they are going to use
then you can get a better idea on if its worth it or not
Thanks for the feedback.
derrro your car looks good with the 18's on it do ya think if i left the rims standard they would suite my calais?
With the lowering would i bother with getting the camber kit?
