I have a vz berlina. Since a changed the head unit from stock to Sony, I can't seem to get into the computer and change things like how long the lights stay on for when you lock the car, locking in drive, turning the horn when you lock the car ect. I can still change some of the options tho. Has anyone has this and do you line how to fix this, cheers.
i have the same problem its pissing me off too any help please ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
you lose half the functions when you change from the stock headunit, you can put the unit back in and change settings, then remove it, alternatively take it to holden and have it reflashed and you can regain them (this costs $)
I dropped a sony head unit in mine and didnt loose anything. I have 06 berlina. No reflashing has been done.
Edit: i re checked and radio related stuff is gone but everything else is there

VZ Berlina
i guess it all depends what unit you have, both my kenwood and pioneer units lose them
Life starts at 200km/h
Mate I have a sony headunit in my sv6 and I still have all my functions. By any chance did you cut and re-wire all the wires or did you get the connectors from like supercheap and repco
i lost everything except about 5 or 6 settings in my VZ (including alarm beep on lock set to ON) when i put in my alpine unit.
i asked the guy at holden service about why I could not get to the settings, mentioned the head unit, but he was clueless. he said its a pretty good guess tho...
I got strathfield car radios to install it so im not sure how they connected it? Im thinking that theres some cable they have disconnected or theres some sort of "Through" Cable that was working through the radio that was controling the radio, eg - Audio distortion limiter, auto volume and/or lcd display in the instrument cluster. but i can't be sure...
I kept all options when I put in my DD pioneer, did you disconnect the battery during the swap over?
Not sure, i guess they did.. strathfield car radios did the install.. Useless...
Take it back and get them to rectify. This is a common thing, many threads on it.
If it is recent, go back and they should fix.
I had a car kit fitted which caused interference, one call and suppression installed free of charge.
Use professionals would be the other option, rather than chain stores.
They are no longer there. I guess I'll have to go to an auto electrician and sort it
Help???? Anyone got anything
take it to holdens like people have said...
its just a reflash, some headunits work cause this issue some dont...
Chev badges are an instant fail
Auto elec won't have the tools / software to do the flash as far as I'm aware. Just go to Holden
i got the same problem when i installed my pioneer dvd deck in
