    Default manifold insulators

Hey I've got 05 vz Calais with ss growler dual 2.25 catback exhaust. Is there any point in adding manifold insulators?

I have the insulators, they do make a difference in acceleration (a bit anyway) I've found the revs have moved slightly off linear probably to do with the runner length changing. Worth it in my opinion

Honestly if you spend more then $25 on them its a waste of money.. bang for buck $130 gets you (according to fleabay) 5hp or 3 kw.. $43 per killawasp $50/hp. Some cars have been known to lose power after bolting them on.

Put it this way also, Raptor charger gets you 150hp gain.. $6000 can get you a tuned second hand kit. thats also $40 per hp

everything has a price, just no one with an alloytec wants to spend money on it, hence the high $ to kw ratio.

with the spacers, i myself did find a seat of your pants increase in low down feeling, whether thats torque or power, but i will say it felt 'different"

yeah your right rich, everything does have a price. These are just not worth the 'seat of your pants feeling'. nor the supposed massive 5hp. In my opinion i think they are a waste of money. Money which could be spent elsewhere. Better brake pads, tinted windows.

no point in having a nice car if it is dirty, perhaps a detailing and clay bar kit, with decent wax? Nothing beats a nice clean car

They definitely keep the manifold cool but you will not "feel" the difference with a 2-3kw increase. I thought it added a bit down low at first but i think it it was all in my head lol. I think they work best on hot days and i do think they are worth it.
