    Default Help!!!!!!!

Im having a few problems with my gear box, sometimes when i change gears or put my foot on the clutch it clunks in the gear box and the back end in the diff. Also i took my car to a car wash cause it was pretty dirty after cleaning it i got in and noticed my roof lining on both dirver and passanger sides were soaked near the handle and the rear passenger light had water leaking out of it anyone let me know where the leaks could be coming from and also wat the problem with my f*^%en gearbox/diff is

my gearbox is like that too. If its the 4 speed (which mine is) then its the same box thats used in the VS and other models. The one in my VS went really bad when it was leaking transmission fluid so check fluid levels first. I noticed even after I topped it up it was still sluggish. Instead of getting the gearbox serviced I decided to spend a little extra and get a shift kit installed, best $400 I spent on that car. When I get the spare cash I will be doing the upgrade on the box again, really improves responsiveness and acceleration.

do you have a sun roof? I have an adventra that has had the rear drain pipes come off... leaves a hell of a mess.... and leaks where you have described

I would assume he has the 6 speed being an sv6 with a clutch. The clunk could be diff or diff mount

yeah i do have a 6 speed, i've checked the diff mounts there seem fine but apprently the uni joint is sagging a bit or something. thats what the mechanic i got to look at it said. I dont have a sun roof it just seems to leak in alot of places. Also under my feet whilst driving water comes from there while its raining

And what is the best type of exhaust to get i've got the stock on right now its twin cat im looking at speending maybe $2500 on the exhuast to get a nice sound from it

go on ebay and buy the full pacemaker kit, comes with extractors, cats, pacemaker catback all in stainless. twin 2 1/4 all the way from the extractors. if you are spending $2500, do it properly and buy that setup! while ur at it, send me your standard one, if you are going to get rid of it lol

$2500 is a whopping budget for an exhaust...

    (insert not_an_abba_fan exhaust comment)

as for your water problem, check the door and window seals, it usually runs down and enters throught the door sills ending up in the footwell or in earlier models, the speakers.

as for your clunk, all 6 speeds have a diff clunk, or backlash.. if your uni joint is 'sagging' then there is something wrong with the drive shaft mounts etc, get under and have a look.. take photos and post up here

You can have it if you want it

yeah i was priced $2000 for manta exhaust and extractors starts at 3" goes into 2 1/2" people from manta reckon it gives you a better sound from the car.

How much more power do the extractores and high flow cats actually give your car.
Also would a pod filter make much of a difference in power?

Id come close to betting the sliding joint in the centre of your tailshaft is worn to buggery and thats why its clunking
