Cd changer-2005 ltz-not working-security code

Dear All,

I recentlry tried to play a CD in my 6 CD changer but it gave me "cd error MECH" and did not play the CD.I opened the CD changer and removed the CD manually and tried to fix it again in car, but its giving same problem.during my last try it is now asking to enter CODE1.

anyone having idea on security code and CD error????

The cd changer is broken need to replace whole unit it's asking for a code because it has lost sync with the bcm
