Hey guys,
Just today and yesterday after starting my car after an extended period of downtime eg. 6 hours, the car will turn over and start then cut the engine off then after retrying will start straight back up no rough idle no engine issues. If anyone has any experience with an issue like this could you let me know your solution.
No warning lights come up except the little red lock so I'm thinking it might even be the immoboliser.
Cheers!

i had same problem last week after i relpaced ignition barrel, it was the immobiliser, problem was key not making contact with key reader, easy fix, hope your'es just as easy.
what we have here,is a failure too communicate!!
so it's a matter of taking out the ket ignition barrel or did you take to your mechanic? Cheers for the response

Be careful with this, i had a similar issue with mine and my mechanic said "The key is damaged, get a new key" so i did.
Then, i had NRMA come out cause it STILL didn't work, who advised "The ignition switch is damaged, take it to an auto electrician".
Called an Auto electrician and had to get the car towed as it kept cutting out on my after a few minutes.
Auto Electrician called up and advised "The security system has locked itself out of the system aka BCM and ECU out of sync".
Holden had a look and determined the ECU was stuffed, replace it and then that issue went away completey.
Fortunately it's not cutting out while running just the initial start after a long break but I'm gonna go ahead and use my original key for a while and see if the problem lays in the key

Yeh i hope for your sake its just the key/ignition.
Mine progressed from being a flat battery, to various other things which eventually lead to the ECU being rooted.
