VZ cd stacker jammed

Hey guys, first time user.

I have a vz storm with the blaupunkt in built 6 stacker. i went to remove a cd this morning and it made a whirring sound for a while and then said error. I reckon a cd is jammed and just wondering if there is any tricks to getting the face off and trying to manually remove the cd blockage. getting it repaired cant happen till after new years and our family (w/2 kids) are driving up to canbera and for our sake need the cd player working. I cant play any of the other cd's. Now it doesnt even say error, it just goes straight to fm

any help would be greatly appreciated
