The screen in the Blauplunkt headunit that comes stock in VY's and VZ's is only displaying parts of what it should be. For example I cant read the time because parts of the numbers aren't being displayed and when I turn up my volume only the 2nd and 3rd dashes are displayed. The only reason I can think of for it not displating properly is I have put to much pressure on the screen when I was cleaning the dash or the cleaning agent has gone under the screen.
Does anyone know how I can fix it?? Will it come back over time?? Or wont I be able get the display back??
I suspect it would be dead. By the time you diagnose and attempt repair or get someone to extract money from you, you could have gone after market or replaced.
Try here as a starting point: SPECIALS DEC 11 there are a variety of standard units.
Thanks for that.. I was eventually going to upgrade to a 7" dvd/navigation head unit but wasn't planning on doing it this soon as I only just bought the car so dont have a lot of spare money.
If the plan was to upgrade, do a google type search - there are plenty out there with full functionality (Chinese naturally) that are quit cheap. Will take a bit of research, but similar prices to what you would pay here for a standard cd player unit.
