    Default Rear Window Heat wires

Now, I'm hooking my aftermarket aerial up to the rear window heat filament to get better reception, however, I can't find the small black box which the wire joins the rear window anywhere! Any ideas where it's located?

I tried this in my VL and it kinda worked but gonna go for an aeropro internal aerial instead

and what happens when the demister is switched on? or are you disabling it? I'd hate for it to heat up the wire's and burn something

The aerial has it's own control box (it's after market) and for greater reception, I need to solder a single wire to the control box. So it will just use the fillament to transmit the frequencies Shouldn't burn etc... when the demister is turned on.

I just can't find the "control box" anywhere!

There is no control box the wires simply plug into tabs on the rear windscreen.

Is it possible to solder a single wire onto this "tab" (where is it located?)

I dont see why not. You need to remove the C pillar trims from memory can remember if they are on one side or both...

Ah ok, so basically just remove the side seats, and then the C pillars? Don't need to remove the parcel shelf etc..?

Why don't you just use the mobile phone ariel box at the top of the rear screen?
