hey guys, need to change the brakes on my vz, just wondering what a good brake pad to use is, looking for one that has the least amount of brake dust
the ones I've got now, after a 10min drive, wheels r filthy with brake dust
my dads ve sv6 barely has any dust and seems to stop his car good. does anyone know if the same pads will fit my car, and if so, anyone know what pads they use on ve sv6 from brand new and where I can get them?

Get QFM's from GSL Rallysport in the sponsor section.
BENDIX is the only pad to use
I've just installed some Bendix generals yesterday, dunno what the previous ones were, these are so much better. But abba doesn't BS, so I'd look into those rda's.

give everything a spray with wd40 wheels brakes that should fix the squeaks
As much as I loove my QFM HPX police spec pads from GSL, I hate how they create so much dust but its my weekender so washing it after every outing doesn't bother me. For a much pleasurable daily driver you don't want to see any dust build up for at least a fortnite.
Also your old mans SV6 would have pads from factory which is low noise, low dust and low braking ability...lol
I got QFM HPX and they make hardly any dust at all plus they stop really well and don't cost a bundle either. Will stick with the QFM pads.
Ive had no problems with the one GSL Rallysport supply

had bendix in my old car, didn't have much dust, and no noise at all, couldn't judge the braking power as I never needed to brake hard
seems like lots of people are happy with what gsl rally provides, but saw on his thread that he doesn't use the same ones anymore and uses remsus or whatever it is
abba, ill pm you with a couple questions

i had bendix pads on a mazda 121, they lasted #### all and it was a mazda 121.....not exactly a high performance car you can drive like skaife, then changed to ferodo and they last twice as long and ended up selling the car before the next brake change, and when i say twice as long im talking the bendix lasted 4-5 months, and the ferodos lasted over a year
could be your driving style, pads should last longer then 5 months, even 12 months

I can only assume you work for FMP Group...
Or believe everything you hear on the radio...
Or have never tried anything else in your life because Bendix had a good reputation 2 decades ago when they actually did make good pads...
Bendix's last decent pad was Metal King, and they're long gone!
I'm not anti-Bendix, we indeed stock them (alone with about 13 other brands of pads), and do a bit of them, but there's so much better pads out there for the money. For a low dust, high performance street pad, HPX is hard to go past, and comes standard as a Police spec pad (whereas Bendix charge about 50% more for the privilege!).
They definitely shouldn't be dusty. The only thing I could suggest is that if the car is only being driven on weekends, the transfer rate of pad material to the rotor is too low and it's wearing the rotor, which is the dust you're seeing, not actually pad dust.I hate how they create so much dust but its my weekender so washing it after every outing doesn't bother me.

Sick of paying too much for high performance brake pads? Want high performance and cold bite with low rotor wear?
