Question $500 camber kit for vz ute?

So I'm looking at getting my ute to sit a bit lower from supers to ultras, I wanna have the back wheel just tucking tyre, at the moment my ute has pedders sports ryder springs stage one with factory shocks

My current thought is to get gt monroe lowered shocks, a camber kit and ultra low springs (if ultras will give me the height, can anyone help with this? I'm on 235/40r18 wheels)

A family friend told me to give pedders a visit and said if l mentioned his name they wouldn't rip me off, however I got quoted $500 for pedders to supply and fit a camber kit and an extra $250 for lowered shocks, is this right or am I being ripped off? Cos I see camber kits for vz utes at an average price of $200 on online stores.

I tried searching for this info but no luck, so thanks to anyone who can help me and I hope I've given enough info,

    Thanks all

What are your payment methods mate? And are camber kits hard to install? Like could I do it myself?

Sounds about right for supply and fit as a its a bit of a F**k around to install..although can be done if your confident. Is that $250 for front and rear shocks installed?

They aren't that hard to do, just time consuming. You will need a wheel alignment afterwards.

    I do direct deposit.

Yeah I don't mind doing them so long as I don't need any special tools and I can do it off chassis stands, I've only ever played with springs on a mates ute haha

Oh and that quote includes a front and rear wheel alignment aswell

By direct deposit do you mean PayPal or bank deposit?

$250 for installing or purchase and install. Because if that's just labour your being ripped in two, half hour to hour Max to change rear shocks. Easy job for most people.

I got a quote of $260 to install front and back shocks. Front is much harder than back. That's with spring compressor rental.

Pedders reckons $250 extra for the shocks and thats purchase, he said he wouldnt worry about labour for them cos hed just do them when he did the camber kit,

I know how to pull out the bottom part of the shock but i havent looked at how the top half works, is it hard? if it isnt id be more keen to do it myself

Bank deposit. I do Paypal as well but will have to charge an extra $7 as Paypal charges me that.

As long as you're confident, it's not that hard a job. Springs and shocks have to come out when doing them anyway so that would be why Pedders aren't charging you labour for the shocks (*bullshit cough bullshit*) $250 for a pair of rear shocks, they would have to be really special. I also do shocks, I use Ultima and I can do a pair of those for $165.

Ohk well in that case I would prefer to do it myself if there is instructions or a how to on the camber kit, shocks seem easy enough and I can just take it somewhere for the wheel alignment when finished, I think I might get those two items off you abba, the shocks and camber kit but it could be a few weeks away is that alright mate?

Cheers for all the help guys too
