Gday
I have a holden fitted 2100 towbar with air shocks. Can someone tell me what pressure - preferably in psi they should have. The valve indicates 400kPa to 1030kpa - does this seem very high.
Thanks
400kpa = 58psi
1030 kpa= 149 psi
Thanks - I have worked out the conversion - but 58 -149 seems high - can someone verify this. I am about to put a new caravan on next week much heavier than my old van which died.
Unfrotunately"ispeed" is correct crappy air shocks do run on pretty high pressures.

My Senator had the factory self levelling suspension (fancy words for automatic air shocks) which I replaced with Koni adjustable shocks and air assist bags inside the springs, much better handling and can still carry loads, just have to manually pump up the bags but as they only take 30psi max can pump them up with a bike pump which I carry in the boot.

The gregorys workshop manual says that the superlift shocks should not be pumped up any higher than 1034 kPa (150 PSI). It also says to never drive the car with less pressure than 103 kPa (15 PSI) in them..
