hey guys i have an 04 belina lost my licece left the car sit for a few months started it drove fine then parked it again went to start it the next day turn the key nothing dash came up fuel gadge problem contact dealer and showed the gadge to be empty with 0 kms (had 3/4 a tank) fuel gadge was faulty so i replaced the sender anyways still nothing pump wont evan prime up.. have gone over battry voltage was good tested all realays and fuses all ok done earths pulled bcm fuse to reset the codes no codes in the car but still wont read the fuel gadge or start has got me a bit stumped just wondering if its happend to anyone else and if so what the cause was

My mate has a Vy Berlina and the same thing happend to him two days ago but it happened after he filled up his petrol tank with safeway crappy 91 Unleded.

Still trying to figure out whats going on.

Does no one read older threads? There are a few recent threads about this issue, including my own thread, and it turns out to be a corrupt ecu

There are a number of threads on here about this problem and the same thing happened to two mates. What it turned out to be in the end is the bottom of the ignition barrel was shorting.... There's a plug or switch etc at the bottom of it........ and it was shorting the ECU and BCM etc..... See if you can get it started by bridging out the starter relay. In my mates car it would then run normally for a few days or even weeks before it did it again. It would throw the fuel gauge error and not turn over.

yeah mate all pluged in iv been through the older fourms but seams to be diff symptoms to them but i will try that thanks mate
