Hey guys was wondering if there's someone somewhere that can put an aux plug into my stock head unit? Or is it possible?? It's 05 vz Calais. V6.
Look in the vy section, there's a sticky thread, I've dine it to mine and it works fine, although I'm not sure if it works with the 6 stack players
Ok sweet... Thanks guys.. Price approx.?
I think it was $200, but it was a fair while ago that mine was done
Welcome to ASR Audio & Electronics Home Page
Look at the very top, it is possible to be done. $145 fully installed.
The stock head units dont have anywhere near as much control as an aftermarket one and still cheaper to put a new one in all together.
Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like
Just had Greg (ASR) do my aux in and RCA outs before Xmas all works perfectly, $270 for both.

Contacted him when I first got my car and at the time he wasn't going to develop any further VZ items.
I got a Parrot MCI9100. Bluetooth Hands Free Car Kits - Parrot USA
Gives full iPod control, USB input, SD card etc. Fantastic unit. Also full Bluetooth.
Downside, no steering wheel controls - care factor 0 as there is a remote fixed to the dash that controls the unit.
Richard, have you tried that Hard Wire? By the sounds you have, I'm thinking of doing it.... Is there anything major that can go wrong and ruin the whole stero? I assume not, im pretty handy with a soldering iron and all that, so it should be ok.
I have done it, worked fine for me, although do at your own risk. It does say to play a cd with a blank track on it, but I found that it will work with any cd, it overrides the cd music
Ah sounds good and yeah 'whole risk thing' got thatI think i will do it, i should be able to easily enough.
