Hey guys, I'm sitting at autobarn now and want to buy a CAI for my vz executive, I'm tossing up between the following and would love your feedback if you know anything about them.
A) SS Inductions Cold Air Intake System for v6 - $560
B) K&N Performance Air intake system with high-flow washable air filter (comes in a massive box and has heaps of little gadgets - $370
C)BMC Direct Intake Airsystem - $279
Im not sure what would be best/ suited for my vz v6. Also which one would sound tougher and which one would push the kw up.
Thanks for the help, I have no idea what to get so in relying on you guys!
Cheers!
Honestly there's sfa difference between them all. If your really determined get the mace cai. Cheaper then the rest and works just as well.

Thanks man! But I'm an impatient bastard haha and wanted it today lol, so I'm just gonna go with one of the 3. The k&n system is looking good ATM. But are k&ns good for commodores?
K&N are supposed to be "the best" from what i have heard so out of your options that would be heard of as being good but just as wraith had said, the mace one would be just as good and cheapest

K&N are oiled filters which can cause issues with MAF's. As said just wait. Steve is pretty quick.

By any chance... does the 2-hole-mod produce the similar power gains? Or is the whole thing just a myth?
The only Exec in Saudi that's now properly badged!
This subject has been covered numerous times before and has always led to the same result.. bang for buck, leave the standard airbox on and replace the standard filter with a reuasble K & N version, will save you $$ every service. CAI are a supporting mod, and unless they are matched with other parts, generally cost an arm and a leg for a placebo effect people want to feel because they have spent so much money. This helps the purchaser justify the $$.

its all bullshit, including the 2 hole mod..
THE END!!!

My mate simply changed his air filter to a K&N one and swears by it, he is running it on a supercharged ecotec. i plan to run a K&N aswell although its probably minimal gains but better for the engine
I wouldn't run a K&N on a car with a MAF. I used a Drift filter and it worked fine and had no oil so no issues of coating the maf. Noticed no difference at all between that and the K&N.

Dont waste your money at autobahn. Just drill a extra 90mm hole on the side [guard side] of your airbox. Ive had different cai's and not much difference to me.
