    Default Car over heating fan stays on after car is off to cool dowm?

    I have plenty of coolant in the reso tank... any ideas what it could be?
    Water Pump was replaced not long ago.

    So is your car over heating or are the fans just staying on after you turn it off?

    In come cars the thermos keep running for a few minutes but any longer and it may just be the relay playing up.

    It does goes to over heat then slowly moves in bewteen over heat and just below it and when i turned the car off after it over heated it took about 5 mins for the fan to turn off..

    Cause the warning came up on the dash. as well as the needle thing

    Yeh most definitely the radiator cap, very common problem.
