Scary sound from 5 speed auto

Hey my sv6 in making an nice rattling sound around the drivers side transmission area at about 2500-3000rpm in gear but when I put into neutrel rev it doesn't do it. the car drives fine shifts fine and pauses a bit on changing but that's all Plus I took the heat shields off and it's not them any help please

is it coming from one of the cats?

It sounds like it's coming from around that area on the drivers side. I going to check the power steering hoses they make the same noise I been told when the split or the transmission cooler in chocking

My acclaim used to do tat, ended up being rocks between the exhaust and heat shield. Took ages to work out, so that's a possibility as well

Is there a way to check if an auto A5 sv6 has the tranny cooler or the tow package fitted when bought by first owner? Could Holden have that info?

Mine does the exact same thing. Sous comes from the same area. Im sure its not the heat shields. Did you end up finding out the problem mate?
