Hi, I have a 2005 Sv6 Commodore 5 speed auto
I have recently (within the last week) modified the intake to allow more air to enter the airbox, buy just removing the intake pipe that curves upwards and replacing it with a cold air intake shroud off of the monaro.
I replaced the air filter with a K & N panel filter.
Yesterday I was advised to clean my airflow sensor and told to spray it onto the outer and inner components of my airflow sensor.
I then left the sensor unplugged to dry as I was not driving the car that day.
This afternoon I plugged the sensor back in and started the car up. It sounded really odd when it started up and was a little rough on idle. I then gave it a little throttle and noticed a knocking noise at the front of the motor every time I hit the accelerator. The car seems fine to drive and is alot more responsive but I am VERY concerned about this noise which I believe is in the intake manifold. Is this a normal thing when the car is adjusting itself to the new air levels or have I stuffed the sensor by spraying it? By the way I did NOT bridge any wiring with the spray.
Thanks,
Reece
crc maf sensor cleaner
Did you tighten up all the clamps that you may have loosened?

i doubt the cleaning of your maf and knock are related. and if there is something in your intake manifold then remove the manifold and shake it out

Thanks mate, will give it a go when I get the chance. The knock happened directly after I cleaned the maf, so I wasn't going to rule it out.
To be honest, it does sound like theres something in there but what is the question.
Cheers
