Hey guys,
I have a 2005 VZ SV6 (Auto). A mate told me I had a diff problem as my car whined, but then we found it was coming from the engine bay and no the rear diff. The oil is fine (but I am changing it soon anyway), the coolant is low (also changing it soon)... I was thinking maybe transmission fluid is low? I have no idea what it could be and would rather sort this out before I go to the mechanics and they bend me over for a couple hundred. Any input would be appreciated.
Also I have removed the towbar and I am having trouble finding that little black square piece that fits into the rear bumper. I have searched all over and cant find one. Any idea what the piece is called or where i could find one?
And rims... I need to get some rims... I am aiming for..
- 18inch VY CV8 R
or
- 18inch CV8 Z
Whats everyones thoughts on that??
Thanks.![]()
Could be a pulley on the way out?
Any Holden parts should be able to get the bumper trim.
CV8 Z definitely.
Silver Certified.
you should be more worried about what the towbar was used for prior to you buying the car rather than the little black cover dude. When I was buying my SV6 I stayed away from ones with a towbar attached. One SV6 i test drove in Oct 2011 had a huge wine and then when I asked him about towing he was like oh yeh we tow our (MASSIVE) caravan every holidays.....
Did you check the power steering level? Might be a pump on the way out? My money would be On an idler on the way out. I would check levels before you start buying things( that's a given). Spare parts at Holden will hook u up with a fill in piece.
Mine does the same thing at start up when its cold. worked out its coming from the power steering pump.
havent changed it yet but yours could possibly be the same thing?
