I have been seeing something strange these days, the steering seems to be turning a little extra to the right when compared to the left, actually I can turn the steering wheel 1 n 5/8 circles to the right and only 1 n 3/8 circles to the left.
It all started with a small thud when I hit the extreme end while the turning the steering wheel to the right, left seems ok, and when I took it to the mechanic he showed me that the wheels can actually turn more to the right than to the left, is changing the whole steering column the only solution to this? Thats a costly solution, is there a way to fix it?
Firstly Id get a wheel alignment done to check everythings good.

You don't need to change the steering column. You can adjust the tie rods and take steering wheel off to realign if it's that bad.
Is the wheel straight when going forward in a straight line? I'd suspect you've bent a tie rod. As above get a wheel alignment and go from there.
I always replace both anyway.
I cant get it fixed with wheel alignment, I have replaced the left rack end as thats what the mechanic wanted to be replaced first, we have not replaced the right rack end strangely!!
I will get the tie rods checked too, thanks a lot for the replies.
Why cant it be fixed with a wheel alignment? If nothings obviously bent then you should be able to?

They can take the steering wheel off. Rotate it on the spline and then realign so the wheel is centered again. Then you'll have the same amount of turns left and right.
