id check with your states requirerments, pretty sure u cant put an older engine into a newer car due to emmissions regulations
New motor into old car is fine of course.
You'd be changing lots, pedal box, tranny, suspension, brakes, computer, wiring.
only worth it if its DIRT cheap and u have the time to do it all by yourself. imho

    ^^ correct ^^

U won't get that conversion to pass inspection, part of EPA, no old engines in a newer car.

If it's cheap n u have an older car, it would be a great project, but for the hassle of cops, EPA, insurance, it's not worth the stuff around into ur vz.

Actually it has to do with the ADR's. If the donor car had the same emissions adr's as the car you are putting it into you are fine. VZ's were subject to a ADR change 1/2 way thru their life, hence the change from 5.7 litre to 6 litre v8's. If the OP has an early VZ he may be ok. If it's a later one then it's no good.

That said, it's not a conversion I'd contemplate - just buy a factory V8 one. There are plenty about.
